Konto löschen

Du möchtest dein WalkieDogie-Konto löschen? Du hast zwei Möglichkeiten. Dein Konto und die zugehörigen Daten werden gemäß Art. 17 DSGVO gelöscht.

1. Direkt in der App (empfohlen)

  1. Öffne WalkieDogie.
  2. Gehe zu Profil → Über die App → Konto löschen.
  3. Bestätige mit dem Eingabewort LÖSCHEN.

Dein Konto und deine personenbezogenen Daten werden sofort gelöscht, sobald du bestätigst. Diese Aktion ist unwiderruflich — vollständige Datenbank-Backups werden innerhalb von 30 Tagen überschrieben. Du kannst dich danach jederzeit mit derselben E-Mail-Adresse neu registrieren.

2. Per E-Mail (wenn du keinen App-Zugriff mehr hast)

Schreibe eine E-Mail an <PLACEHOLDER:privacy@walkiedogie.app> mit dem Betreff "Konto löschen" und der E-Mail-Adresse deines Kontos. Wir bestätigen den Eingang binnen 7 Tagen und löschen das Konto binnen 30 Tagen nach Identitätsprüfung.

Was wird gelöscht?

  • Dein Profil (Name, Avatar, Bio, Standort)
  • Deine Hundeprofile inkl. Fotos
  • Deine Freundschafts-Beziehungen
  • Deine Spaziergänge (als Ersteller:in) und Teilnahmen
  • Deine Nachrichten in 1:1-Chats
  • Deine Auth-Daten bei Supabase
  • Alle hochgeladenen Fotos in Supabase Storage

Was wird – aus rechtlichen Gründen – aufbewahrt?

  • Gruppen-Chats: Nachrichten in Gruppen-Chats werden als "[Gelöschter Nutzer]" pseudonymisiert, damit Konversationen für andere Teilnehmer:innen lesbar bleiben. Inhaltliche Bezüge auf dich werden 90 Tage nach einer Meldung gelöscht.
  • Bewertungen: Bewertungen, die du abgegeben hast, werden pseudonymisiert ("[Gelöschter Nutzer]") und bleiben bestehen, damit andere Nutzer:innen sich auf die Gesamtbewertung verlassen können (berechtigtes Interesse, Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO; Widerspruch per E-Mail möglich).
  • Sicherheitsprotokolle: Sicherheitsrelevante Protokolle (z. B. Missbrauchsmeldungen gegen dich) bleiben bis zu 12 Monate gespeichert (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO – Betrugs- und Missbrauchsabwehr).
  • Backups: Vollständige Datenbankdumps werden binnen 30 Tagen überschrieben.
  • Rechnungen: Sobald kostenpflichtige Funktionen existieren, werden Rechnungen 10 Jahre gemäß § 147 Abs. 1 Nr. 1 AO aufbewahrt.

Welche Antwortzeit kannst du erwarten?

  • Bestätigung der Löschanfrage: binnen 7 Tagen
  • Tatsächliche Löschung: binnen 30 Tagen (Art. 12 Abs. 3 DSGVO)

Delete your account

Would you like to delete your WalkieDogie account? You have two options. Your account and associated data will be deleted in accordance with Article 17 GDPR.

1. Directly in the app (recommended)

  1. Open WalkieDogie.
  2. Go to Profile → About → Delete account.
  3. Confirm by typing the word LÖSCHEN.

Your account and personal data are deleted immediately when you confirm. This action cannot be undone — full database backups are overwritten within 30 days. If you change your mind, you can sign up again with the same email address afterwards.

2. By email (if you no longer have access to the app)

Send an email to <PLACEHOLDER:privacy@walkiedogie.app> with the subject line "Delete account" and the email address registered to your account. We will confirm receipt within 7 days and delete the account within 30 days after identity verification.

What will be deleted?

  • Your profile (name, avatar, bio, location)
  • Your dog profiles including photos
  • Your friendship relations
  • Your walks (as organizer) and participation records
  • Your messages in 1:1 chats
  • Your authentication data at Supabase
  • All uploaded photos in Supabase Storage

What is retained for legal reasons?

  • Group chats: Messages in group chats are pseudonymized as "[Deleted user]" so that conversations remain readable for other participants. References to you in reported content are deleted 90 days after a report.
  • Ratings: Ratings you submitted are pseudonymized ("[Deleted user]") and retained so that other users can rely on the aggregated rating (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; you may object by email).
  • Safety logs: Security-related logs (e.g. abuse reports against you) are retained for up to 12 months (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – fraud and abuse prevention).
  • Backups: Full database backups are overwritten within 30 days.
  • Invoices: Once paid features exist, invoices are retained for 10 years pursuant to § 147(1)(1) German Fiscal Code (AO).

What response times can you expect?

  • Confirmation of the deletion request: within 7 days
  • Actual deletion: within 30 days (Art. 12(3) GDPR)
